
The Irish Chiropodists/Podiatrists Organisation was founded at a meeting in Wynn's Hotel, Dublin in September 1972. Presently the Organisation has a membership of 450 approx. members, which makes it the largest Chiropodists/ Podiatrists Professional Body in this State; and it's representation of over 70% of the total practitioners.
The Irish Chiropodists/Podiatrists Organisation is a Company Ltd. by Guarantee. The National Executive consists of ten members which include the following: President, Vice-President, General Secretary, Administration Secretary, Finance Officer, Consultant-Advisor, P.R.O. and Committee. Mr. Patrick J. Maher & Co. is Legal Advisor. Dr. Sean. B. Dunphy M.B.D.Ch. is Medical Director. Since the inception of the Organisation ongoing education and skill development have been very much a priority, numerous seminars, workshops and courses of a very high standard are also included, appropriate medical personal and consultants are frequently engaged to present educational seminar, which are both theoretical and practical for the members to assist them on their endeavours to acquire the highest standards in the continual professional development of the profession.
All members are VHI, BUPA and VIVAS approved.
